We got the comfy seat which includes a spot to take selfies. The okra with yogurt is a perfect blend. Nice bite size sliders. Suya beef paired well with carmelized onions. Rice and peas is a showstopper. Full bodied and absolutely delicious. The monkfish with curry with the rice as good as it gets. Enjoyed the yuca fries. The couscous, to the restaurant's name, very comforting and balanced. We loved the duck, short rib (large portion), and the potatoes and vegetables and flavors. They wished our family member a happy birthday and added a candle for the dessert (red velvet with a drizzle of cream and tart at the bottom). Lastly, the cocktails are amazing. Black Caesar is decadent. The alcohol free drinks got the same attention to detail. The service was impeccable and the extra care and touch in making the birthday special put it over the top. A true fine dining experience.

Comfort kitchen is such a loving and thoughtful restaurant. You immediately feel welcomed and a part of an intimate community when you arrive. Food and drinks are exceptional especially the fresh and refreshing mocktails. The kelewele with the sesame seeds is a chefs kiss moment of truly blending African and Asian ingredients within this dish to perfection. So much gratitude for this spot and can't wait to return.

This was a wonderful dinner and drinks! Service was exceptional per usual. We ate the okra appetizer, Sindhi mushroom, and beef short rib. The only low point was that the beef short rib was not very tender, it was quite tough to cut and did not pull apart easily. In addition, the yuca fries were also quite tough and possibly old. I've had this dish before and it's delicious so I hope this was just a one time issue! The dream street cocktail was very tasty and slightly creamy. Their beer dejection was also quite good with my partner loving the beer by Brockton Brewery.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant and it has exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend booking a reservation through OpenTable as this place gets packed during dinner time and the restaurant is not that big. Here's what we got: Suya Beef ($18) Great appetizer to share. It came with 4-5 pieces of steak that were tender and had a nice char. The caramelized red onions, pickled mustard seeds, and mint relish really complimented the steak. It was such a unique and delicious combination! Jerk Roasted Duck ($34) Must get dish here! The flavors of the duck was out of this world and it was literally fork tender! I was surprised when the meat fell apart without me cutting into it. It was so flavorful that it paired perfectly with the rice and a pickled side dish called pikliz. I would come back just for the duck! New Fish Curry ($28) Giant piece of monkfish over a coconut curry broth. The fish had a nice sear and the was tender on the inside. It was served with a house made flatbread to soak up all the delicious curry. My friend licked the bowl clean! Beef Short Rib ($32) Huge chunks of braised short ribs that had good flavors and was paired with spinach and a side of yuca fries. Unfortunately, the yuca fries were a miss for us - they were cut too big and the texture was dense, dry, and not crispy at all. Overall, I was impressed by the flavor profiles of the food here. We also tried a few cocktails (One in a Million is perfect for sweet cocktail lovers and the Espresso Martini is strong and potent). Although the cocktails were good, I think they were a bit overpriced for the portion size ($18 each). I would 100% come back for the food though!

I had booked this place a month in advance for a late evening time slot as they get filled quickly . The concept looked very interesting and I was eager to check this out with family . We sat outdoors as our group had 5 people and they did not have availability inside . This is a small place. Outdoor seating was cute and cozy. Th ere is one heater for the entire patio. Our server was great. She patiently answered our questions and took our orders. Our starters were great ! We had the kelewele and jackfruit sliders and ordered two rounds of both as they were really delicious but very small portions . The spicy chutney with kelewele was a hit with us . And I have never come across vegetarian sliders across my trips in US and this was delightfully delicious! The okra was really good too but not a shareable plate. I tried the side of Yucca fries as an appetizer. The chutney accompaniment was very good but the fries were ok. I had never tasted yucca fries before and didn't find them interesting. This is just me . I tried the Sindhi mushroom from entree as I was looking forward to it ..... sadly it missed the mark for me . The dumplings within were dry and rubbery and the flavor overall was very mild, for me . The cilantro rice from the sides section was delicious! I wish they would serve that as an entree. It was really good . My son had the banana leaf roasted chicken and daughter tried the fish curry.....both felt it could have better flavors. For dessert we all tried the Blue corn cake . It was not bad , very dry in its own through. The cardamom crema accompanying it was too mild for this cake. Overall I have given this a 4 for the ambience , starters and service . The entrees missed the mark for all of us.

Delicious for both brunch menu and dinner menu! **Brunch Menu** Jerk Jackfruit Sliders: Dang, they made jackfruit taste meaty! These were delicious and hearty. Really pricy for what you get. The sliders are pretty small. Red Line: I think I liked this sandwich even better! The masala mayo was delicious, and nicely spicy. The brioche was perfectly toasted. Really fantastic. **Dinner Menu** Okra: This was... insanely overpriced. $14 for a few pieces of okra. I regret this dish most from our meal. It tasted decent, especially the sauce. Really not worth it though. Kelewele: On the other hand, this starter was amazing. Perfectly seasoned with a DELICIOUS hot sauce. The plantains were so good. This is a must order. Jerk Roasted Duck: This was my other favorite dish from dinner. Falling-off-the-bone tender. So flavorful. Every bite was just packed with flavor. You gotta try this. New Fish Curry: This dish was also very good. I loved the flatbread that came with it. Fish itself was decent. Yuca Fries: This one was okay. Not crispy enough. I like the ones at Gustazos better. Cacao + Blue Corn Cake: This dessert was also pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's a must-order. ---- Service was pretty slow for dinner. We went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn't particularly busy. Plenty of street parking outside.

Soon as you get to this place you can tell everything is done with love and pride. Came here on a Thursday night and it was a vibe. The suya beef app was my favorite! The duck was cooked really well.. i do wish it had a bit more spice to it though. Brisket was solid I appreciated that they had South African red wine which is my favorite too!

The concept of this restaurant is incredible- celebrating all the incredible foods the African diaspora has brought the world. I love the decor inside (stunning) and I love the menu (thorough) with stories and details about several of the menu items. The cocktails were delicious! 5 star review for my plate of food- the chicken plate. My friends were not the biggest fans of theirs + the dessert was a tad dry. For the prices- I'm hoping for near perfect plates. I've also tried this place for their cafe hours and it does not disappoint!! Definitely worth checking out to try unique foods

Food: flavorful and exotic Salad and okra: very fresh and delicious. Salad has fruit and beer which gave aesthetic looking nd colorful. Okra was crispy and tender inside. The seasonings were quite new to me but in a good way Mocktail and cocktail: Was okay... I wasn't huge fan of the baobab mocktail as it was too sweet for me. Trout and braised beef: Trout was crispy and juicy. Again I'm not sure what sauce they used but it matched well with the dish. Braised beef was tender and soft - it was a special menu and was a great choice Pistachio cardamom ice-cream: THE BEST. Cardamom was soo strong and tied well with pistachio. It was full of flavor and delicious. Would recommend the most

Inspired by the African diaspora, this place is tiny and very popular so you gotta book far in advance. I wasn't sure it would be worth the trek out to Dorchester (red line+bus combo ) BUT IT WAS. Deserving of all its accolades! Service was friendly, but a took the food a while to arrive. * Jerk roasted duck: some of the yummiest duck, so tender and fatty. Nice rice pilaf on the side too. * Za'atar brown butter trout: the real showstopper as I've never had fish like this. The eggplant puree was so flavorful. * Basque cheesecake: a bit disappointing, not creamy enough inside, but the orange blossom caramel was nice.
